Looking For A Unique Tagline For Handbag Business

Hello!

I recently started my own small business, selling handbags and other accessories. I am looking for a tagline that is more unique then what I have now, which is purely descriptive "handmade bags and accessories" and not catchy or clever at all.

My business name is "goodmorning, morning!". Everything I offer is handmade by myself, and usually one of a kind. I like to reuse and recycle a lot of materials and trims from thrift stores and the like.

    Hi Lia,

    First of all Welcome to KHE,

    Second: My girlfriend would LOVE your handbags, to bad they are all sold out :( .

    Third: I like you website, it is very nice.

    A few tips:

    On the page with all the hand bags you might want to divide them up into separate pages, and have Thumb nails of the hand bags, so that if they like the hand bag they can click on the thumb nail to get a bigger picture of the hand bag. This will save you band width and you customers on dial up time.

    You also might want to set the size of the pictures and use the ALT tag, this will improve your SEO ( search engine optimization), it will also help blind people and people how have turned of picture in there browser.

    Also when you ask for the email address i hope you get a bit more info about your customers when they buy a product. You can store this info and use it for CRM ( Customer relationship management) when your business expand.

    You also might want to put some pricing on your site, because i may want to buy your product but might not have tome to email you. Yes i know it would be very simple to email you and ask, but the more i have to do the less inclined to buy.

    Do you sell internationally or just in Canada?

    Are you willing to make a custom bag?

    Another idea would be to have customer testimonials about how satisfied about the product, and/or service they received.

    What is your market, eg are you aiming for young girls, old ladies, working professionals, teens?

    Please dint close the question, as there will be alot of wonderful suggestions. Sorry i don't have any idea now for tag lines but i am at work, and don't have much time to think of one. i will post back later.

    Hi Lia, your bags and accessories are very unique, charming, and heartwarming. How about the following taglines --

    "Charming Bags and Accessories…Handmade from the Heart"

    "Charming Bags and Accessories…Handmade with Love"

    You might want to consider generating a competition for your clients, ask them why they like your products ... give a disocunt for the best answer.

    This is a good technique because you get an honest opinion of what drives people to you from people ... your not guaranteed to get a good slogan from it, but you never know!

    you have quite a tasteful range of handbags, scarves, brooches and t-shirts.

    i fully agree with carl (google) regarding website and his tips are quite useful. i am not sure about highlighting the "Recycled" point whether that is taken positively your target customers. it might or might not work (accroding to Suze and Mcherif) depending on the market.

    I personally would highlight the "Handmade" point. now here are my two cents on your tagline.

    IMHO you are actually selling Fashion (fashion items). so i would suggest rather than highlighting only handbags you can say Fashion. this will help you to expand your product categories in the future if you want to add a line of Evening Dress, for example, in your existing business.

    based on fashion theme some tagline ideas are

    GOOD MORNING, MORNING!
    Handmade Fashion, Straight from Heart.

    GOOD MORNING, MORNING!
    Your Fashion, Handmade

    GOOD MORNING, MORNING!
    Handmade Fashion for You

    GOOD MORNING, MORNING!
    Unique Fashion crafted by hand

    Your name already communicates "young, fun, hip, etc.". It's kind of a "be a part of our inside joke and become a customer" kind of brand name, so it works well for your products.

    You don't need a tagline--you need a descriptor. And I believe Handmade bags and accessories is the right one.

    By the way, have you tried promoting your product line by sending out press releases to fashion e-newsletters? There are so many, but I will never tire of referring people to this one: www.dailycandy.com.

    Lia, I think for the exact reason you mention, that your name isn't descriptive of what you do means that in the early branding days, its often useful to have a slogan to build that awareness or understanding.

    You need to understand what your primary benefit to your customers is and position yourself that way (its maybe the uniqueness that your customers like!).
