Branding Outgoing 1-1 Emails

I would like to get everyones thoughts on branding everyday outgoing emails. Does it add value to your online digital marketing strategy? Does it drive more traffic to your website?

    Hi Graeme,

    Absolutely I think you should do it.

    This is also one of the best ways to increase subscribers to your email marketing/blog/RSS list.

    In moderation of course. I have seen some people include a long boring generic mission statement, but it is like using both sides of a business card, you have the space, so it should be used wisely to market yourself.

    We tried it and it is lovely having a a clear, consistant branded e-mail. The problem is that we were confusing our clients as we had the company e-mail address not each individual's and so our poor Information Officer got all the e-mail and then had to pass it on - this wastes time - and our colleagues didn't necessarily reply to the customers.

    Customers want immediate replies by knowlegeable people - our learning point. That's what happens when the marketing team does not communicate well!!!

    A training session is due to happen soon.

    I find them nice to look at the first time but a bit of a pain for the 20th time! We are doing more research on this.
