Hedge Fund Naming Help

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am opening a hedge fund that is NOT going to be trading securities. This fund will capitalize real estate projects as its primary focus. My partner and I both have real estate experience. We want a name that isn't too gimmicky but is memorable. It has to convey strength, safety, prosperity, and competence. I've listed keywords, but none of them are grabbing my eye. I'd like something that is relatively easy to spell and easier to pronounce. Possibly something that includes diversification?

These are some of of the ideas that I've come up with thus far:
Hydra
Spire
BuildStone
VisionStone
Syner-G
Synergy
Pantheon
Capstone
Guardian
Defender
Unity

It will have to be unique as there are over 8000 funds out there now and we obviously can't duplicate names. Any help is incredibly appreciated.

Sherwood. (Sounds like SURE, and WOOD--strong material.)

    Spectrum. (For diversity.

    Highland (High quality property?)

Moreland (Better value, greater diversity implied?)

Summit (The pinnacle, and lots of diverse but important people coming together.)

    Hah!

The Wall Street Journal just mentioned MarketingProfs in a story about naming a hedge fund. You'd better read it!

Oops! Good mention for M/P, though.

Uh, on my "Spectrum" suggestion above, in the immortal words of Gilda Radner on her SNL skit... NEVER MIND!
