Do managers think artificial intelligence will lead to fewer employees and lower salaries?

To find out, Beautiful.ai conducted a survey in February 2024 among 3,000 adults in the United States in management positions.

Some 41% of managers surveyed say they think AI will replace employees in the workplace this year, 20% say they do not think AI will replace employees in the workplace this year, and 39% say they are neutral on the matter.

Some 45% of managers surveyed say they think AI will provide an opportunity to lower salaries, 33% say they do not think it will provide an opportunity to lower salaries, and 22% say they are neutral.

Most managers (90%) say they are already using AI tools for their own productivity.
