Or there any other Marketing blunders that you know of that exsited in marketing history that should have been handled differently?

Coca cola and Dasani,

the "Traditional" sliding seat layout of a sculling boast and the "Novel" sliding rigger concept.

the delorean

the new mini (that was released in the 1980's)

the "Triumph" brand now owned by mercedes-benz

M16 vs AK47 (not sure about this one)

actually Bill that is an urban myth, if you check an earlier thread this was discussed and was found that it not true.

How about the WWII story of American pilots dropping care packages to the families trapped behind the Berlin wall with the word GIFT writtin in large letters on the package.

Gift translated in German is poison. Noone dared open the packages.

Cadbury's Wispa on Ukrainian market. I live in Ukraine, in my language, "wispa" is a "smallpox". No need to tell people don't buy it in the amounts they buy some other chocolate bars.
