I always use to thought that the best Human Resource Manager should be the marketer. ¿Why? There have a lot of similitudes: Customer (External and Internal), The marketing and sailing projects couldn't be successful without the employees help. In Training topics you need creative activities, a lot of communication techniques, researches processes, Development Relations, and either Promotions in order to motivate and develop their desires to do the job in a best way. If you look the employees like Customers, You will find the ways to manage your new challenges, in a very easy way. Know your Customers (employees, their needs, desires, objectives, profile), Develop Products (training, services, health topics, ...), Advertising campaigns (involve people, give information, training, abilities development, quality service,...), Channels (building facilities, job environment,..), Hire new employees (To seduce the customers, select your market,..), and so on.

    Bye, and Congratulations

    OMG,

I am a marketer who works in the staffing indsutry for a staffing automation company (https://www.helpUhire.com). I do a lot of marketing using the HR media. Here are a few that have newsletters which may be of use to you:

https://www.HR.com has what they call an e-bulletin. They have articles related to all sorts of area in HR (staffing, benefits, training, etc.). Lots of best practices type articles.

Workforce Week has a newsletter - www.workforce.com. I think they are a little more aimed at providing news stories related to HR - so a bit less on the best practices and more on the what is hapenning out there.

There are a ton related to staffing/recruiting, if you'd like links to them.

If you want to outsource some or all of the HR duties, here are a couple I know of:

A group called Business and Legal Reports has a set of products which look to take some of the hassles from HR. Web based trainings, downloadable forms, etc. https://www1.blr.com/index.cfm. I guess a bit less of outsourcing and more of providing (for a fee, I am sure) tools to make the job easier.

I met a woman last night who works for Gevity (https://www.gevityhr.com). Their tagline is "Outsource HR", and they seem to have a variety of functions which they can do.

I have not used either, but looking at their web sites, they look like they might be of some use.
