I Know What Competitor Analysis Is And All The Different Variables I Should Look At, But My Question Is, How Do I Get This Information From The Competitors?

Posted by Anonymous on 75 Points
For example, how do I find out how much revenue they have? And what other variables should I study and how do I go about getting that information. I'm so new to working in a marketing department and I am the only marketing person here (I'm an intern), so I apologize if my questions seem 'kiddish'. Thanks in advance for your help.

aosterday's advise is simple and direct, I'll only add that you can call any public company and request an annual report. They won't ask you any questions (except name and address), you don't have to qualify. Also many are available on the web.

Also look for competitors HR advertising like on monster.com. You'll discover new products areas and new market segments the competitors are planning to grow.

    good luck

Contact DavidatHaley (click on his name in the expert column to your right). He is the panel "expert" for the staffing industry. I am sure he would be more than happy to post a response and/or give you direction.

    Good Luck!
