New Desktop Publishing Site For Wedding Stationary

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hi Everybody,

looking for some name help, it seems everything i come up with is already being used (website domains). After planning my wedding i noticed a lot of stationary products that were not really available, specifically seating charts and programs, especially in Canada and were not reasonably priced or available locally, and the wedding planner i was working with gave me the idea to do my own designs and she would promote me if i wanted to get into it.

Favorite colours: pinks and purples
I wanted something unique, fun, princess, fantasy designs and sexy. How do you make stationary sexy? Any body have any ideas? Please!

Sexy involves multiple senses. Besides the visual (colors, shapes, images) consider how the paper feels. How does it smell? Perhaps it's also edible?? Does it make a sound if you rub the paper a certain way?

Oh, you wanted a sexy domain name. My mistake..

All the following names are available:
    RomanticStationery.com
    RomanticPaper.com
    LovingStationery.com
    SexyStationery.com
    LovingPaper.com
    RomanticWeddingStationery.com
    SweetWeddingStationery.com

Hey just a note -- stationery is the proper spelling for what you are doing. I just recently realized this after speaking with my uncle about his site, www.gaystationery.com ... Be sure to use the correct term, otherwise you are using something that almost has a negative connotation for your stationery business.

    Best of Luck to you,

Thanks for everyones help...still haven really found what i was looking for, nothing jumps out at me...what do you think of Expressionary Designs?
  • Posted by Jay Hamilton-Roth on Member
Expressionary Designs is fine, however "Expressionary.com" is already a taken domain (and is more correctly forwarded to "Expressionery.com") and would likely cause brand confusion with you.

    How about "Weddingery.com?"

Never wanted to limit it to sexy...just wanted an appeling name....

All very good stuff. It is worth noting that an awfully large numbers of the .COM domains which "have gone" are simply being advertised for sale, often for not very much money at all. For example, look at godaddy.com and click the links to the "domain aftermarket". Also get familiar with how WHOIS works, so you can see if the domain you want is for sale or not.

In the current economic climate, you might be surprised how cheaply quite "decent" .COM domains are going for.
