I Need Opinions On Some Name Ideas! :)

Hello!

I'm in the beginning stages of making my business venture (dream, actually) a reality and I could really use some expert opinions in regards to the name.

It is going to be a coffee shop and bar in one. I want it to appeal to all types of people. I want a kind of modern mello cafe atmosphere during the day with a hip edgy bar atmosphere by night. Though coffee, tea and alcohol will be served anytime, there will be a major transformation from day to night like with lighting, music etc.

I don't know about everywhere else, but where I live (in orange county, ca) there is nothing like this at all.

A name idea I have is - "Alter ego" which, of course, in latin means another side of oneself. The coffee shop side and the bar side.

It has it's pros and cons I think but I need more opinions and/ or any other name ideas!

    I love the name Alter Ego. It's different, it explains your unique positioning, and I personally think it's edgy enough. I'm getting sick of the one-word bar names that mean nothing, personally (I'm a 20-something so probably somewhat in your typical consumer group).

    I think the important part is to carry your branding throughout the store, your employees, and all your communications.

    From what you describe of the shop so far, I picture it to attract a kind of artsy/smart crowd. More like a chill/cool bar than a bumpin' nightclub.

    Actually the name Alter Ego is quite edgy. However you need to take note that it does not sounds like a name for the kind of business you are trying to do. So if you really like that name, I suggest to add 'explanation' at the back.

    example :

    Alter Ego Bar

    Alter Ego Coffeeshop & Bar
