Best Places To Advertise It Elearning

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
We are setting up a company to provide high end IT training that is not easily availble through regular triaing outfits - univs., professional training institutes, etc.

Since it is eLearning, we are making the assumption that our potential clients can be best contacted on the web through banner ads and search engine marketing.

What are the best places to advertise and which search engines might get the best exposure?

Thanks.

Advertise where people who need your services are. If you have a history, analyze the students that have taken classes: who did they work for, why did they need your training, and how has it helped their business? Then, advertise where they are: websites they visit, magazines they read, etc.

Also pay-per-cllck ads - what problems are you solving? Target those keywords.

We had the same question at the Manufacturing company I work for. We heard good things about ValueClick Media Network (www.valueclickmedia.com) and met with them a few days ago. They seemed honest and to-the-point. What they do is create a strategy for you, and if some banner ads are not getting you conversions, they simply drop the ads for you. They also do behavioral targeting, reach certain demographics through "custom channel" marketing. Overall, save you the time of setting up advertising with various sites, and optimize your plan to give you the most bang for your buck. We almost went through a PR agency, but realized how much we can save by going straight through them and utilizing their broad network. We haven’t worked with them yet, so my opinion may change if they go south on us, but things look promising so far. I'd check them out if I were you, or look into other advertising networks.

What businesses benefit from your training?

Identify your target and find out where they frequent online, or if they have ads in any print media or on any websites. If you place your ads on the same sites they are placing their ads then it is easier to reach them since they probably monitor these sites on occasion to ensure that their ads are being put out there as they want.
