How Can I Get To Bloggers For Product Exposure

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I have designed and manufacture three products that have applications in two huge markets, athletics and medical (rehab/therapy). The products work equally as well for either sex and for all ages. They truly help people recover from all types of trauma to their arms, wrists, hands and fingers, (tennis/golfers elbow, arthritis, breaks, sprains and even strokes). They also will help anyone who plays any games in which there arms/hands are used to take their game to a higher level. They are inexpensive, portable, fun and easy to use. How can I tell the world about my products on a very poor mans budget?

I take it you mean you want to wholesale your product and have others sell it at a retail level.

The cheapest way is to think about who you want to have selling it, who would be a good fit, and then call them and find out their policies for submitting products.

You can also target these companies with direct mail.

Finding a sales rep is also a way. There is an association of manufacturers reps. Just google it.

To get in front of direct marketing companies, the NMOA has a number of very inexpensive programs for promoting new products, details are here: https://www.nmoa.org/membership/manufacturerservices.asp

Blogs are a great way to get free exposure. If you have your own blog or website, you can offer to link to their blog post if they write about your product.

The first thing you need to do is start scouting. Look for blogs that are centered on athletics and rehab/therapy, or just relate to your product in some way. You can gather this data in a spreadsheet (or however you chose to organize it) and contact them one at a time, keeping track of your progress.

I agree with mocando, sending free samples is a GREAT way to get them to write about it, because they can do a "product review" piece. But if you don't have free samples to send, a simple and friendly contact with a promise to link to their post from your site is usually incentive enough.

This process is very similar to getting publicity from print like magazines and newspapers. The best poor man's publicity is Public Relations. You can often use the same process here to gain some exposure with a "new product spotlight" or something. Scout out magazines and newspaper sections (sports and health sections) who might be interested, contact their editors, and find out how to submit. Sending free samples to these people is a REALLY good idea. Also, if you have newsworthy information to share, send press releases to local and big (if it's really newsworthy) newspapers.

    Best of luck to you!

I recently posted a question on "How to find and approach bloggers" here: https://www.marketingprofs.com/ea/qst_question.asp?qstID=22787

Although our products are different, there is still a bunch of good information in that thread you can draw from.

Also, have you considered setting up an affiliate program? It can be a pretty inexpensive way to advertise, by paying only when there is a sale. Commission Junction (https://cj.com), Link Share (https://linkshare.com), and Share a Sale (https://shareasale.com) are three companies who will run an affiliate program for you. My favorite is Commission Junction, because I think their reports are the clearest, plus they have a huge affiliate base.

as step one lets understand where you want to sell and to whom.

then go to google and find out bloggers and web sites that share info of this category

also send out PR via wirefree network-they are sites that rally press releases to multiple newspapers

make a simple blog : [free from blogger.com] and use it the way you would to disseminate info from website

after all go back to the blogs you found. write comments etc and get people to start to visit your blog

there is plenty of marketing you can do independently from the net

put your blog on google search pages

once you start to earn a little strat getting bloggers from sponsoredreview.com etc type of sites to write for you...

in case you would like to know more you can check out below two blogs: [Search from the vast ‘ARCHIVE’ section at the 2 blogs to know what you want to read. Read what benefits you. Have a good life.]

write a small ebook about the benefits of the product. Make it available for free.
If you are interested in building a list, get them to enter their email address before they download the book.

You can't under estimate the power of Viral marketing.

In your press release, make it educational. Make it keyword rich also. Have some links in the press release that will link back to some relevant articles on your site.

The two free ebooks will get you started.
