Good Email Tool?

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Could anyone recommend a good email tool that does not require html knowledge but also is not subscription based? I love Constant Contact but I do not send emails often and would prefer to pay per each email rather then subscribe.

I've always thought SendLabs was pretty effective. They offer pay-per-use and not the monthly charges.

Here is a blog article I wrote about how to choose an email marketing service. From my experience, even if you email just onece per month, services like Constant Contact are more affordable than the pay per email ones. Also, if you are not emailing at least once per month, often people will forget they signed up for your list and when the emial comes your unsubscribe rate will be high.

I like to use Campaign Monitor. If you are sending to more than 5 people you pay a flat rate of $5 plus 1 cent per recipient emailed. There is no subscription.

The stats you get are quite useful and the resources section of their site has 30 free templates for use if you are not an HTML wizard.

    Cheers,
