Digital Marketing Dissertation Topic Advice Needed

Hello, I am a student in the final year of my Bachelor studies, currently busy with my thesis. I have been having troubles narrowing down my thoughts to a specific and at the same time interesting topic. At the moment I am doing an internship at the digital marketing department of a company providing sports goods and I am particularly busy with updating their website. Having access to some good research sources such as web analysis tools and online survey opportunities I wanted to focus on a topic involving analysis of online consumer behavior, social networking, web analysis, or something for which I could make a research on the needs and wants of a specific target group ( by analyzing blogs, forums and online survey outcomes) and ultimately provide recommendations to the company for improving their website/ online marketing practices.
I hope you could share with me your thoughts and show me a direction which would be interesting for research.
Any other proposals on digital marketing topics are also welcome. Thank you in advance.

    I know that the company I work for is slowly transitioning and adding online solutions. However, the reality is that we are far away from any blog marketing or social media marketing. I think wish such big corporations the change takes awhile and needs to be strategically managed. I think interesting topic would be how to smoothly to transition from an old ways to newer ways for big company or even a mid-size company.
