Advertising On Social Networking Websites

Hello, I posted a question last week regarding my dissertation and got some good feedback that helped me get a direction. I am looking at advertising on social networking websites, such as Facebook, Bebo and MySpace. I want to look at how advertising works on these sites and if they make any impact.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice to what type of research i could do into this. I think that I am going to focus on university students for my research.

    Why don't you start by asking college students directly. Certainly you have to know some, right?

    What do they think? Do they notice the ads? Do they buy because of the ad? I have read studies on it, but I can't recall right now.
