I am currently working on a research paper for a marketing class, and I chose the topic "Advertising and It's Effect on Women."
I basically want to talk about how the advertising industry has been a factor in creating the "ideal" women image and how that has lead a lot of women to become obsessed with their image in terms of weight, appearance (wrinkles etc).
Also, I would like to talk about how things are in the International scene. I want to mention if the same things have happened in European or Asian countries as well as mention what is being done now. In other words, I wish to talk about what the advertising industry or at least some companies think about and are doing about using "size zero" models.
Do you think this is a good topic? Will I find enough info? (The paper is supposed to be between 15 and 20 pages.)
If you have any suggestions as to what can make my paper better or where I can find useful information, please let me know.
