    Some important Marketing Considerations:

-What is the Business objectives of the site? Is it brochureware (i.e just info about product or service), e-commerce (sell products), community driven (forums, social networking), etc.
-Who is the target audience of the site?
-How will you build loyalty/sticky-ness on the site?
    - How you will drive people to the site?
    - How will people find your site (SEM/SEO)?
-How will you keep the site dynamic/fresh so people return?

    Additionally:
    - Is the navigation and content user-friendly?
    - How quickly can they access information or do actions (like buy products)? If they came back, would they remember how?
    - What information will you collect from users and can it be used for subsequent marketing efforts? More information collected = more targeted = more effective
    - How will you leverage site metrics to optimize the site (reduce exit points, etc).

    Hope that helps...

You said ... what should be analyzed...

Number of unique visitors to a site.
    How many pages they visited
    How long they stayed
    What pages they visited.
    What did they click on
    How often

Check out Google analytics. Offers a lot of stats.
