When I was training to be a certified guerrilla marketing coach, our training manual said today's business decision maker gets 3000 touches daily. Takes 17 phone calls, and meets with 4.8 reps a week. because of this oversaturation, they are insecure and avoids risk.

We live in a multi-channel universe today. Folks are bombarded by 3500 messages a day via billboards, radio ads, televion, newspaper, direct mail, email, banner ads, etc, etc, etc.

To cut through the clutter, you need to find out method each individual monitors and responds to. THAT is where attention resides. It's also the most difficult way to market.

You can imagine the difficulty storing all the difference preferences a person has, then using appropriate media to communicate with them. But, it can be done.

Its one of the reasons data mining has become such a popular support system to advertising. Something to think about.
