How Can I Build An Email Opt-in Email List Quickly

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I have a Product; its a package of digital goods - I call it the Ultimate eBook Inventory. Its a collection 750+ ebooks that the customer can buy, and has full resell and republish rights.

I need to quickly build a list of prospects that are interested in purchasing my product - I want to add them to an auto-responder program that I bought; and start campaigning right away...I was wondering if anyone knew of a site where i can find lists for sale, or a way that i can get emails (legally) to use right now. I want to quickly reach as many people as i can - cheaply.

Why not list it on www.clickbank.com, where affiliates would love to resell/republish it for you? Also: https://www.affiliatescout.com/, https://www.affiliateprograms.com/, https://www.affiliatebot.com/, etc.

eBooks by themselves aren't necessarily of much value (the same is true for books): it's the contents that matter. To get people interested, you'll need to give them a taste of the quality of what you're offering.

I am listed on clickbank.com...thank you very much for the suggestion...

the two other sites seem to be interesting too. I might check them out! Very helpful.

I would still like to blast an email to about 60,000 people - legally. I wasn't sure how to do that though.

    Thank you, Zahid!

I do have a blog, specifically dedicated to promoting my products and affiliated links...I don't know how well its doing, because I haven't had any turnover since i began...a couple months ago. If you want to check it out:

    https://promotions.keithbrown.biz

I submitted a critique request, but no one has responded yet.

As for those links, I will definitely check them out - I do have mailinglist/newsletter software running on my server that I setup, so I would want to use that.

I haven't check those links yet, but do they offer addresses to purchase?

I pretty much have everything set up..I just need the customers - I thought that a large email list would do the trick.

can anyone recommend any trust-worthy sites? Again I have the campaign, just need the emails.

    Thanks a million

I don't know anyone in the list business that will give you a list to use. They all send emails for you to the list(s) they have. On the home page of www.nmoa.org there is a company called EMC that has reasonable email deployment. Not sure if they have a list to match you or not.

You can try some of the biz opp magazines and see what it costs to have them send an email for you.

Thanks! EMC Looks a bit pricey. Looks like I might have to go with a company that sends the mail for me...I thought that a List was the way to go, maybe not...

Anytime someone says they need to 'build a list quickly' I always take pause. The idea of email marketing is to build a contact base that is engaged with you and WANT to receive information from you. In looking at your site, I didn't see a signup for a newsletter so how are you capturing the emails of people that visit your blog?

I'm wary of list-buying as a best practice despite the amount of the companies that still offer it.

    Hello,

For one you don't want a cheap list. You want a highly targeted list of people who have purchased some thing similar to what you are offering.

Sending 60,000 emails to the wrong prospects will yield you nothing.

Any company willing to send you the email address to blast your self is SPAM.

Don't email more than the minimum amount which is normally between 5000 and 15,000 names.
Why? Your a new brand, untested copy and subject line.
    Untested list source.
Every thing is a test for you at this stage of the game.

I worked with a company that sold books online. He set up his book store on over 300-500 websites. he pays the site owners a fee for any book that is sold. His list of responders and buyers averages over 150,000 per year.
He than rents the postal and opt-in email names and makes over $1 mill per year on list rental.
Something to keep in mind when your building your database.

    Good Luck

    Thanks for the comments...

Josh - when they purchase the are redirected to the sign-up page that captures their name and email...

    - when i say "quickly" i mean im in a hurry to be the next .com millionaire...lol as are all entrepreneurs.

I want to get the word out... I want people to buy...I want to generate an income from my never-ending inventory...

    sigh.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Keith

Hmm....with cheap lists you'll get what you pay for: unqualified leads, expired addresses, and a cozy spot in peoples' spam folder for the most part.

List-building is an art. I suggest you build a SOLID list of your own, qualified leads over time. This list will be worth FAR more to you than some shabby 'cheap list' you bought.
