Marketing And Advertising Dictionary

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Dear friends,

I'm finishing a marketing and advertising degree course in Brazil at the end of June but have been having difficulties with some marketing definition terms (possibly due to inaccurate translation from the originals from english into portuguese). So I need help in a couples of things;
a) recommendation of a good marketing/advertising terms dictionary (english language) .
b) recommendation of a good marketing bookshop in New York city, where I'm going to be at the beginning of July.

It would be very nice if I could also meet a professional/student in the advertising field during my stay in N.Y.

Many thanks in advance

    Hmm, I'm in NYC, and I don't know of any bookstores that focus only on marketing. I found some marketing dictionary sites online, but they didn't look very useful.

    You might try the Science Business and Industry Library at 188 Madison Avenue

    or the Barnes and Noble Annex at Fifth Avenue and 18th Street (they have a large selection of textbooks and reference guides).

    My other suggestion would be to try the American Marketing Association.

    Try the American Marketing Association...you'll get a lot of 'trusted' help from that one.
