Scale For Vals And/or Lov

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am doing a Masters theses in psychographic segmentation and I was wondering would anyone know where I can get my hands on scale for VALS and/or LOV or who to contact? I know SRI-BI runs VALS, I tried emailing them but no one got back to me. As for LOV I know it originates from University of Michigan but aside from research articles there is not much information on the web.

    I don't know what either is or where you are but a web search for "LOV ...University of Michigan" showed an article -- "Extension of the Interpersonal Adjective Scales to Include the Big Five Dimensions of Personality", Trapnell, P.D, and Wiggins, J.S.;
    Source: Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Vol. 59 (4) October 1990, pp. 781-790. If that helps, your school librarian should be able to get it for you.

    Other suggestons -- call or email the following and ask them for contacts: Journal of Personality and Social Psychology; Univ. of Michigan's Pychology Dept. or the school's Information Services or university library.

    Also, use the resource portal https://goodsource.tripod.com/ and see the categories "Professional Organizations/Networking" and "General Information & Reference" for links that might be useful.

    Hope this helps with your thesis work. Good luck.

    These segmentation systems are generally secret but I guess you could try with the Stanford Research University perhaps they can give you a hint. Good luck!
