Cleaner Contractor Office / House

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I have had 7 years experience working full time as an housekeeper and now I am looking at the possibility of establishing my own company as a cleaning contractor with the assistance of my husband. I need some directions.

thanks

The number ONE thing....CLEARLY explain to your husband what you think he should be doing to help you.

If you just need him to do the books...make sure that's all he does. Don't, then, turn him into the pack mule who carries stuff from the house to the car each time.

You need to build a model of your business. Here are the things I suggest you include:
How many clients can you handle? Be sure to consider travel time, and misc work needed when you are not cleaning.

How much money do you want to make? Not a dream goal but exactly how much can you sustain yourself with.

    What equipment do you need?

    Will you have insurance?

    Will you want a vacation?

What will you when you are sick?

Do you need to be bonded?

Add the costs of all these to your sustainable income.
Now divide the number of clients by the amount of money. Is it reasonable to expect people will pay that much?
