Google's AdWords has the most comprehensive set of options that I have ever seen. They also have an extensive advertiser education model that will teach you all about it, for free. At the very least, learning about this will inspire your own model, and at the most it will give you a ready model to copy.

Another good point about learning all of this is that Google and similar models will be your competition too, so understanding what they offer will give you a basis to build your own value propositions.
