My First Advertising Campaign Project

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I can't seem to understand exactly where to start my campaign. My assignment is to get my instructor to accept my campaign as the best and get three A's for the quarter. I have done hours of research, have a target audience, a tag line, and a logo, and ideas about positioning. My task is to change the name of the neighborhood restaurant; that sells mostly fried foods from AM/PM to another name. In addition I want to change the shop to a sandwich/ice cream shop. I realize this may be two target markets but how do I pull it all together and put it on a poster board. I really don't want to risk using powerpoint as I only have one shot!

I am going to ignore the powerpoint versus poster board issue, because that is only the medium for your message.

What is important is the content of your message. Because this is a class project, you will never get end results (did it work in the real world or not). So really if you just provide supporting information for why you believe it would work, along with any sort of statistics you can find to back it up, you should do fine.

The name change would be hard to provide back up information for. There likely won't be information out there in articles or similar that you can draw on to show the results of name changes.

The change in format to sandwiches, you may be able to find some data for. If you can show how food trends are changing for populations similar to what is found at the store location, that would be good. Are sales at sandwich shops growing, while sales as fried food joints shrinking?

Note - if the assignment only asked for the name change, I would stick to just doing that. Only if the teacher said that changing format would increase your grade would I do this additional work. Focus on what was asked for, as that is what the teacher will be grading you on.
