Need Lead Management Software

We have several field representatives in major cities in India. They would be visiting several clients in a day. We would like to capture those details in a software. We would like to know which is the best software to manage those.

We would like this software to serve only this purpose. Once the lead is successfully converted into business, we would not want any other features such as giving service to the client through this. I mean post-sales service.

We just want this software to be simple and serve only as lead management software.

    Hi,
    We have used Salesforce www.salesforce.com and Act CRM software www.act.com for this purpose - both are very user-friendly, accessible via remote access, and files can be transferred to other programs such as excel to create mailing lists, or develop further campaigns.

    I went the online/hosted route with this. Our company used a heavily customized version of Pivotal to manage existing customers. I needed something to manage leads. Since Pivotal was so heavily customized with the customer in mind it had become unusable for lead management.

    I chose the online route to manage leads in the US, Europe and China. There were several reasons. It was quick. I was up and running in about six weeks. It didn't rely on my internal IT department who couldn't see past Pivotal. Lastly, it was reasonable in price. It wasn't what I would call cheap, but the value returned was far more than the cost of the monthly fees.

    Incidentally, the service I chose was called Lead Central from a vendor named GrowthPoint. They are based in Milwaukee but their customers include large global companies. My company wasn't that large but I did need someone with international experience.
