Gaining Sponsorship/loan For Advertising

Posted by jeanpaul.gagnon on 500 Points
I am the CEO and Director of an international non-governmental organization called Mitigating Endemic Democratic Problems (www.med-p.org). Our organization is devoted to improving democracies - one country at a time. We have just converted from a fully not-for-profit organization to a semi-commercial organization and require sponsorship so that we may advertise our conferences on mass media platforms. MED-P has moved from a local initiative to a global entity and holds all legal copyrights and branding (under EU International Bodies Act, Article 14, 1986).

Can anyone please help direct us to large corporations or businesses which may wish to sponsor our advertising and/or conferences? Our conferences cater to a maximum of 3000 people (2000 delegates, 500 listeners, 500 high school students in tour groups) in 12 different countries annually. We are also starting an entertaining/popular styled peer reviewed academic journal which has over 70 spaces for advertisement we would like to give for free to our sponsors. We are in talks with several national distributors and will be selling in 6 different continents (Europe, North America, Africa, Australia, Asia, and South America) beginning in January, 2010, in 5 different languages (English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Chinese (Mandarin). Our magazine is an annual publication printed monthly (average of 350-400 pages) which means an advertisement will be seen in our magazines for a complete year. We also have an optional 'product review' where professors from a university close to the company's product or service trial it and deliver an independent assessment which is published with the publication for consumers to gain additional feedback.

If any of this sounds appealing to any CEOs or business leaders you may know, please contact me so that we can arrange a meeting. MEDP's first Conference Series Summit will take place January 13-16, 2009, in Brisbane, Australia. We would like to mount a national television, newspaper, and radio campaign showing our sponsors at least 3 months prior to this date. The same goes for New Zealand (Feb.), Peru (March), Canada (Aug.), USA (Sept.), etc. For further information, please visit www.med-p.org

need more details. What do you mean, sponsor advertising?

Dear W.M.M.A, what I mean by sponsor advertising is to have sponsors help pay the advertising cost required for MEDP to run a national advertisement campaign. Our service is a major national conference which facilitates the synthesis of ideas on how to improve the nation which the conference is being held in, this facilitation results in the distribution of many practical ideas to government ministries, universities, libraries, industry, major media bodies, and other NGOs. This distribution results in greater discussion of these ideas and hence an improvement in the quality of life for the citizens of that country. The delegates (up to 2000 people in most conferences, 6000 in special occasions) receive 2 publications and possibly a third. Our demographics consist mainly of scholars, students, professionals, and people interested in their society and or government. We host 12 conferences annually in 12 different countries in the world. Our journal is going to be distributed, as previously said, in 6 different continents in 5 different languages. Our numbers for conferences consist of a maximum of 3000 people, 2000 delegates, 500 listeners/student observers, and 500 high school students on tour. In talks with national distributors means that we are negotiation early agreement contracts for the distribution of our journal when it is first released, January 2010.

If a business, philanthropist, etc. would like to help MEDP defer the cost of an advertising campaign, they are very welcome to submit their product or service to our magazine for free advertising for one year. The assessment(s) of their product(s) are not paid (generally a payment would consist of money going to the cost of advertising itself, not sponsorship for advertising). They are also independent as we do not pay university professors, etc., for reviewing such.

We hope to have answered your questions to your satisfaction and hope to hear from you soon.

    Warm regards,

    MEDP
