Email Marketing Software With Contact Manager

I'm struggling to find a web based email marketing software with a good contact manager. I've tried constant contact, icontact, and highrise and all of them leave a lot to be desired in terms of managing contacts. Any suggestions?

    I think you might be putting the cart in front of the horse.

    How about a good contact manager that also does email marketing?

    For example, Salesforce is rumored to play nicely with VerticalResponse.

    Salesforce is more software than I need. Also, this would add the burden of paying for and managing two applications.
