Dessertation- Marketing Of Financial Services

hi
i'm a student doing an honours degree in marketing, i did my internship at a company that provides financial services. i would like to do a dessertation concerning the marketing of such companies but i do not know where to start and i need ideas. please help

    Could you look at the ad campaigns of the top financial companies and compare the brand positioning?

    I too remember going through that dilemma. You might want to pick a topic that would have high value to your previous employer. Then when you're finished you have an inside track to employment (or a consulting contract) with them based on the in-depth understanding you will have gained.

    That's a better approach than just picking a topic out of the air (or the ether).

    I used to think that it was also important that the topic be one that is really interesting to you, as you will be spending a lot of hours, days, weeks and months immersed in it. I no longer think that's so important, though, because you can learn to love almost any topic that will help you (a) make a contribution to someone else's business, and (b) establish you as an expert in a particular area.
