Best Place To Advertise A Guest House Online?

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Are there any popular free sites that I can advertise a guest house online? The guest house is in Cape Town, South Africa and I would like to target the European market. Does anyone know which sites people go on to search for accomodation.

Your help will be much appreciated.. Thank you

In the United States people really enjoy using Craig's List www.craigslist.org. I do not know if there is something similar to that. I have rented homes using Craig's List in the past.

    Dear Sharon,

May I suggest, one or two postings are not going to get the job done for you.

Approach this endeavour in a professional manner. This is the marketing for you project afterall. If you don't have money to invest, then be ready to invest your time.

get onto the internet and devote 2 whole days just doing research. Pose as a potential renter and try as many key word searches as you can and see what sites come up.

Check all the blogs and social media sites + groups.
Join as many groups as you can and put in write ups about your wonderful rest house with pictures.

Get onto you tube, Kyte, keywego, google video, and as many video sites as you can and upload some nice video of your rest house with peopl having fun and show off the facilities and activities available in the surrounding area.

make sure all these activities link back to your page where the clear details about your offer and clear contact information are there.

Spend at least one whole week of your time to set up all of these activities and then be prepared to monitor the results. Spend at least 4 to 5 days per month checking how things are going and making sure your messages and images are fresh.

You will get results and your only investment is your time + some nice digital images and videos which can be done by yourself with an inexpensive digital video camera.

Like everything in life - there are no magic wands, just hard work. :)))

    Good luck,

    Matthew
