What You Think Of This Email Marketing Header?

We are starting an email campaign for our document management system , and our first email header will say this: Find Out What Your Business Should Have Learned from the Olympics.

We have 3 main points. That we point out. If the person wants more then they come to our website. The listing that we have for the email campaign is our own opted in from other articles and the such.

    When you say header, are you talking about the subject line, or are you talking about the headline of the actual email?

    Yes I meant subject line and header of the html email.

    I think the subject line should reflect what the content is. If your content is not directly realted to this subject don't use it.

    The content is based upon business lessons from the Olympics. I have pulled together 3 main lessons that businesses canl earn from the Olympics

    "Business lessons from the Olympics" might be shorter and more concise.

    Here's my take. First, shorten it. Second, try softening the tone a bit - "should have" - sounds a bit like scolding. How about just "What your business can learn from the Olympics" ? or "Beijing Olympic lessons for every business". Third, watch the capitalization.

    I believe that the headline is somehow a bit long... maybe you can shorten it. You may write it as follows:
    3 Business Lessons from the Olympics
    Business Tips from Olympics
    What your business can learn from Olympics

    Hope this helps!

    You could also, in the subject line, pose the question:

    "What did your business learn from the Olympics?"

    Then headline the body:

    "Three Things You Should Have Learned From Beijing"
