What's Hot

I work in a bar and grill that has an awesome atmosphere but we just don't come up with anything fun to bring the locals here. I would like to get some other ideas to pep this place up. We have done Crab races they did awesome for the first few season then we over did it. What is something that I can do to bring in the people to enjoy all we have to offer?

    Here's a couple of ideas:

How about if you invited the mayor of your town to come in to have dinner on the house and talk to the locals about issues in your area? A lot of people would like to talk to the local politicians but they work during the day when the mayor is in his office. It should be a non-hostile atmosphere, just a chance for people to talk to the local official over a burger and beer.

OR: What if you have a YouTube Night? You bring in a camcorder and just walk around, talking to people at different tables? Then you edit the video and put it up on YouTube. Wouldn't people want to be part of that and see themselves in the resulting video? No reason this couldn't be a regular event and the cost is nil. You could even sell a DVD of the video(s).

It's hard to say what would work and what would not without knowing what crowd you bar caters, what potential crowd you bring in, but moreover the context of your venue.

The idea of inviting the major is not bad at all. To that, I'd suggest you arrange regular business and social networking events with local chambers of commerce and networking associations.

Other ideas can be live music and quiz night.

    Wish you the best success.
