Mba From Cyprus

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hi,

I have 3 years of experience in sales/marketing from India. I have done UG in Electrical Engineering but with low academics (aggregate 55%) and now considering to do MBA(preferably from a good school).

Few constraints that I have to go for MBA are:
1)Finance;since I have to pay for the MBA myself.
2)Low academics;Prerequisite for good schools
3)work experience;entry level sales which has nothing to do with management

I am really confused as to which school to apply for and in which country. USA, no doubt is a popular destination for MBA but with its current economic crisis I did rather find an alternative.

Cyrpus International Institute of management has caught my eye. Its flexible and unique program offering is commendable and also inexpensive.
Flexible because it has optional exchange program with its partner institutions and unique for its visiting faculty from the best schools across the world(Harvard, Cass, Wharton, ESSEC etc)

All I am confused is about the opportunities for Indians in Cyprus(or Europe). Do English speaking countries consider Indians for marketing roles?

And is Cyprus a good place to bet on?(for Indians)

Looking forward for your views,

Krishna

    Hi Krishna,

My highest level of education is Honours. I must admit I am not in any position to answer your questions but however, allow me to point out an observation.

I have spoken to lecturers who teaches MBA in my University. Since everyone in MBA had been working for some time (criteria of work experience, I believe). They describe MBA as a GREAT networking experience, there is even head-hunting going on.

That is what I understand in the situation in Australia.

Maybe those who had undertaken MBA can share further.

    I hope that helps.
    Benny
