Combining Sales And Service Teams

what are the advantages and disadvantages of combining the sales and service team management under one head

    I agree with mc. Depending on the nature of the business, the balance advantages/disadvantages change. However, keep in mind the following. Sales are often stressed by their schedules, and doing customer service at the same time just adds a lot of stress to their already busy days. Never the less, I believe they should always be involved in CS. To take this pressure off their shoulders, you could set up a customer liason person that deals with general enquiries and supplier relations. The asnwers to the queries are then forwaded to the sales who can forward them to the clients.
