Know-How Exchange : Student Questions

My advisor asked to write about marketing strategy in a manufacturing company, i am thinking about this topic ( Marketing Strategy in Midsize companies. Existence, Advantages, Disadvantages). i need your advise ? if you know a similar case that i can read ? i need to question the staff in the company , so what is the variables i should test ? any qualitative questioners sample ? any topic to help will be good.
