Bsc Thesis On Kpi Reference Modeling

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello all,

I am a Dutch student writing a bachelor thesis on Sales & Marketing specific KPI (Key Performance Indicator) and dashboard reporting. The aim of this thesis is to develop a model in which it is possible to obtain a predetermined set of KPIs, depending on the business type and especially the individual’s functional role within the organization.

To get an insight I will use interviews and web surveys to ask professionals in the respective departments to rate different KPIs and business metrics on use and importance. In preparation of these interviews and surveys I want to classify the KPIs I encountered as Sales, Marketing or Trade.

I want to ask you for your help by taking the time (10-15 min) to fill out a survey. The results of this survey will be the information I need to pre-sort the KPIs and metrics in the main survey. The members of this forum are exactly the professionals who can help me and provide me with the insight I need.

I hope some of you can help me, it will deeply appreciated. Needless to say this survey does not promote or advertise anything, is free of any charge and does not create any spam. Anyone who is interested in the results of this or the main survey is of course welcome to send me a message as well.

Jasper, I think you're probably learning why professional market researchers recommend meaningful incentives for respondents.

Business people are bombarded with requests for time ... to read an ad, to watch a video, to keep up with blogs, to attend a seminar ... and to complete a survey. If we each did what was asked of us, we wouldn't have time to run our businesses, eat meals or sleep. (Forget family time ...)

So to really get participation in any "special" activity you need to make it interesting or attractive to your target audience ... address the "what's in it for me?" question. I only have a limited amount of time and lots of things I want to do, articles and books I want to read, and favors I want to do for people.

Why should your project enter my consideration set?

From the response I received so far (comments in and outside the survey) there seems to be a lot of interest for this specific topic. While studying literature I found there was very little to no research done on this subject.

The incentive I offer is as said the results of this survey, which can be very useful to a lot of people. Anything other then that I cannot offer you, since this is a BSc thesis and not some survey done by a (big) company who can offer monetary incentives.
