What service or product(s) are you going to provide?

I think you need to start there. You have to have something that is useful to people for a good value. Many internet businesses are just trying to sell other people's stuff. This is hard to be sucessessful with as there is always someone willing to sell it for cheaper.

    Good Luck.

    startngover,

Based on your three posted questions to date, I would encourage you to think hard about the things you like to do, and the things you know about, and start there looking for how you can fit into providing a service or product in that field.

You will probably have to start out in the ground level, and yes, that means you will not be highly paid, and you will have to work hard. But it's part of laying the groundwork for success.

Start reading everything you can find about that area of interest, take classes, volunteer, join groups, meet people, and you will network your way into a job that you will love, because it is all about something you love.

There are things about every job that you will not enjoy. The secret is learning how to get those things done and out of the way while loving the rest of your job enough that doing the crap work is worth it.

I suggest that you beg, borrow, or buy The Millionaire Mind by Thomas J. Stanley. It is on audiobook if you don't like to read. Listen to it carefully. There is no lazy way to get rich, but hard work, finding your niche, and using your brain will get you far.

    Shoot for the stars.

One thing you might consider it to your likely competition will be. If you're providing technical services which can easily be provided remotely, you will be competing against folks from India and other countries who willing to work at a much lower wage than you are.

I know a lot of people who have online businesses and they work just as hard as brick and mortar business people.

You have to offer service and products that people want and work very, very hard to be an entrepreneur. You can do this but you have to be prepared to do the work.

If not, get through high school, get through college, then start your business. You might be more prepared then...

Based on your question, my simple answer would be - Go and learn from your father :)) He is clearly NOT Lazy.

You admit to being lazy - the hard truth is that YOU WILL NEVER SUCCEED unless you are ready to put in the hard work that any kind of business demands.

if you are serious about an internet career, either, go to school first and study it or get a job in the industry t learn the ropes. Once you understand a few basic principles of what the business is all about, then you might consider starting a business.

    Good luck.

I say he should go to school first and get that business degree and, as you say, learn from dad.

The truth is that teenagers are generally not as motivated as adults and that is okay. Be a teenager. Be a college student. Then, be a business person. :-)
