Changing Their Perspective

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I recently sat with a gentleman I met while networking at a local seminar. After finding out that he knew much about setting up websites I decided I would meet with him. When I met with him I immediately knew he was going to try and sell me something. The question I have is, how do I get him out of his sales mindset to see me as a potential business partner rather than a customer? (If you are curious, he tried to get me involved in some online affiliate marketing business). I would like to use his knowlege on web design to partner with him in the future. Thank you so much in advance!
