Thesis Topic Question

I am currently a graduate student in Europe searching for a thesis topic for my MSc in Marketing and Management. As I have had almost my entire education in the US, I have not had to write a paper of this magnitude before. I have been thinking of something to do with the following areas

1 - Product placement and its effectiveness

2 - Eye tracking/neuro-marketing

3 - Viral Marketing

If anyone has any suggestions or can help me expand on those I would be greatly appreciative.

    In my opinion, the most compelling topic among the 3 you identified is viral marketing. You can talk about the proliferation of social networks and how advertisers take advantage of them through applications, fan pages, etc (Facebook primarily).

    Social Bookmarking has also played a large role in spreading content virally. You can also speak to widgets, and guerrilla marketing campaigns that have been done. Burger King did a great one in Chicago where the dropped 5,000 wallets in the city with a dollar and ID with the Kings face on it.

    From a marketing perspective, here is a link to some of the best viral campaigns from 2007.

    I believe that social media ROI is a great topic. It is not much understood and it would be great to build a solid body of knowledge on this topic.
