What Frustrates You Most About Your Marketing?

What frustrates or worries you most about your marketing? I’d like to talk with business owners and / or marketers who are unhappy with the results of their current marketing programs. This is not a sales attempt. I’m collecting input for new product development. I’d like to ask you about your needs and challenges.     Knowing which piece of my marketing is the most effective. Some things do not necessarily generate direct leads and are therefore not very quantifiable. They do however add to a part of the big picture like getting the name out there.

    Wow, you're opening up a can of worms with this question.

    What frustrates me the most is the disconnect between our online and offline marketing. Specifically, not measuring how offline (catalog + call center) spend drives online sales + other microconversions and vice versa.

    For my particular situation it isn't an issue of not having the technology to pull this off, but the HiPPO's decision to keep the two as separate entities. Although, as the ecommerce portion grows this attitude is beginning to shift.

    Frustrated but hopeful.

    Dear Susan,

    My major grouse is the inability to get skilled people who can make optimum use of the technology out there.

    I would like to see more automation and use of artificial intelligence to drive marketing.
