Research Fellowship For A Marketing Student

Dear Sir,
I wonder if a marketing student can choose his career in research fellowship. Even if it can be done so, would the experience count when he applies jobs in corporate sector? Is research fellowship in any way related to the management at all?

    It can be but the question is always about what you're researching. Also, is that the best use of your time?

    If you are an exact match with another candidate, the fellowship might help. Othewise it just adds to the time you take to get to where you want to be
