I am a International Marketing and Management Masters Student. I have begun some of the initial research for my thesis but have struggled focusing my topic on viral marketing. I was thinking something along the lines of...

How do marketers take advantage of social networks to increase brand awareness?

I think perhaps its a bit general. I dont have a very extensive background in viral marketing but I think its very interesting. Does anyone have any ideas? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    I bet you could find some case studies on this fairly readily and lots and lots has been written on the Web in blog posts and articles. There are books about this sort of thing.
