The price point of your products is quite high, which means that unless you get highly targeted traffic, you're likely to get lots of looking and few purchases. Can you offer lower cost items? Can you compare your products to your competitors (in a simple matrix)? Where is your traffic entering your site? Leaving? Why not give them a reason to give you their contact information (so you can send them special offers)?

Your site seems to be down at the moment...

One of the main reason's I find a lack of ROI in marketing is because one may not being effectively capturing leads.

It's hard to convert, if you don't capture...

Your side of the stream my be filled with fish periodically, but if you don't use a net, it's hard to get them to stay, or remember you...

You must have a way to compare shoppers to buyers...

It's like a window shopper... would you count someone looking through the glass at the same mark as someone who comes into the store, try's things on, asks questions...

Webpages may be considered the same way...

My understanding of Google is that it tracks the number of people searching you keywords, and the number of people clicking on your site... What about those who click, and click, and stay..are you tracking those?

Can you tell a "one click" window shopper, from a shopper who is ready, willing and able?

    Just a thought. :>

    ROI? Return on investment?

One thing that stood out to me (I have the Google Toolbar installed) is that your pagerank appears to be 2/10. For a site that has been up for a while, it could be better. You might want to consider doing some Search Engine Optimization (SEO) on certain keywords and phrases that prospective customers might use.

Another thing that can be highly targeted is pay-per-click advertising. Have you considered that? When I first started using Google Adwords I spent several hours viewing their great training screen casts and reading their instructional articles. They were really helpful getting me started and being effective.

Another thing is you could have email list or even more than one list sign-up form on your site with a different focuses. Also, offer email list subscription to everyone who does buy from you. I work for the StreamSend Email Marketing Service and I have been told many times by customers that email marketing is especially effective at winning repeat business.

One online retailer told me that their email campaigns to their customer base was the biggest source of repeat business by far. What they often do is send out a special coupon code in the email and the customer could use that code in the shopping cart to get a discount. They also send out emails when they get new products in and so on.

I get the feeling you have more than products and service but you have some expertise and knowledge to offer. You might want to leverage that by writing articles, blogging, and e-newsletters as a way of sharing your knowledge, too.

A regularly updated blog with useful and interesting information and articles can help with SEO as well. I would definitely start a blog as a good first step as soon as possible. Of course, come up with a blog plan first on what you intend to achieve with it and if you will have time to keep it fresh. Search engines love fresh content and interested readers (prospective customers and current customers) love blogs that cover topics that interest and are useful to them.

I have to agree with cpappas.

Honestly speaking, your site si a mess.

Sorry to be blunt but you need to think long and hard about what the purpose of your site is.

    1. get rid of those stupid google ads right in the prime time space at the top. Are you here to sell kites? or sell more ags for google?

You need focus, what is your product? Where is the offer??

Is there even a special offer?

One thing that struck me right away was that you mentioned, Everything about the one of the best growing extreme sports in the world - Kitesurfing.

This turned me off right away because of the word EXTREME.

Change it to fastest growing NEW sport and get the message across that it is easy to get into and everyone can do it.

The second I saw EXTREME, I turned off and tuned out and said this is not for me.

You need to understand that you are going after a very specific, very small audience. High selling prices are a must for you because you are not going to sell thousands of units per month.

Also, ask yourself, why would I buy from you?

You have to show yourself to be the expert, here you just give them links to eveyone elses expertise whch tells me that you don't really know anything about the sport. It tells me that you have to go and ask others to get the info.

If I am about to drop a lot of money to buy a top sports car, I want to buy it from a dealer who knows what they are doing. If I have a question about the car and the sales man tells me, 'you can go down the street and ask joe on the other corner - he nows the answer' then I am not going to buy from you. I am gong to buy the car from Joe :))

You need to completely re work your site as the premier source of information, expertise and news on Kite surfing.

But make the main focus on selling products.

You have a fantastic niche and an excellent opportunity.

I would to help you with it.

Fell free to get in touch with me if you like.

    Good luck.

    Matthew
