Name For Marketing Consultancy Aimed At Smbs

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi, I'm really struggling for a name for a marketing agency I'm setting up. The agency will provide marketing for small to medium sized businesses. I need a name that can also be used in front of other names. So this name should have marketing at the end of it. As an example it could be called Acorn Marketing. Then Acorn could be used in the future in front of other names like Acorn Finance etc...

A name that is about small businesses growing or entrepreneurial would be good.

Thanks in advance, Alex

The problem with Acorn is Acorn is already a registered company and so is Acorn Marketing. Also the domain names are registered!

I need something that isn't registered so may need to be a bit more creative.

Can I suggest you think about the personality of the business and two other aspects that are essential for starting a new consulting firm:

    1. How is the business is going to be differentiated from every other one-man (or one woman) band out there? In other words - what makes YOU special, different, and why would clients buy what you're offering?

    2. What can you do or say with your name that will give you credibility with your target segments?

Once you think that through you may come up with some better ideas for a unique name, i.e. one that doesn't rely upon using a common word as the name for a business.

    Hope that helps.
