NOTE; Ignorance is a fact, not name calling. The discussion is of people in general, not specific to anyone.

The DNO is my competition. The elements of ignorance and fear support it in various combinations.
When ignorance is the dominant element it’s very obvious, it’s stated as a claim. And as any ‘Secret’ or ‘positive thinking’ practitioner knows, “claim it and it’s yours”. It’s a terrible thing to do to one’s self, it compounds in the mind.
When simple facts and/or ideas are ‘ignored’ with something like, “I don’t understand what you’re talking about”, the subconscious labels the components of the fact/idea as NOT. Knowledge that has been and would be a part of the cumulative intelligence is denied by the subconscious and does not function in the reasoning. Intelligence diminishes.
Fear dominated DNO is not as clearly obvious. This drives the attacks to ‘kill the messenger’. One ‘claims’ to understand the fact/idea but the presentation is labeled as invalid, because it has disturbed one’s belief structure, which disturbed the ‘big dog’.
The well balanced DNO (fear = ignorance) just refuses to engage with the fact/idea.

No one else knows what I know. Just like the ‘space-time theory’ was, and still is to most people, incomprehensible, so is the “direction” of Society.
Today there are a few who have come to understand some of what Einstein was trying to explain. They are able to identify planets many light years away with an understanding of what he was talking about.
He was called a fool by his piers too.
I’ve worked really hard to develop explanations. I can only speak in metaphor and it gets trashed as not factual. The closest anyone gets to trying to understand is to look for something they can deny, from their point of view, and no effort is made to understand what is being said.

Is there anyone here that can breakthrough to understanding that we can change the “direction” of Society so that we could proceed to solving my marketing dilemma?

    Why do you keep coming back for more, tinker? It seems pretty clear that none of us gets what you're saying or understands what you need or want from us.

    You may have some knowledge or understanding that we don't have, and it may not have words that would let you express it. That's OK. But why would you expect that we can understand something you can't express or explain so that we get it?

    You're asking us to understand something that's inside your head that can't be put into words except through metaphors. And we don't get the metaphors.

    Remember that old saw about insanity being doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? You're doing it! You're asking the same question over and over and expecting that somehow we'll get it next time when we haven't been able to get it in the past.

    It probably doesn't hurt anyone, but it's not clear what the benefit might be. Why are you doing this?

    Why don't you tell us what your marketing dilemma is please and we could possibly offer suggestions to solve it :)) Isn't that the whole purpose of this forum :))

    Based on your incoherent ramblings above, I suspect that your 'marketing dilemma' is probably in your head :))

    Please be reminded that the purpose of this forum is not to 'Change the direction of Society' (That is Barack Obama's job :)) ). The purpose of this forum is to help business people sell more stuff to other people so they can make more money. It is called 'Marketing" :)))

    I believe to state that this is a discussion of people is to not see the big picture. Obviously people are not the only intelligent presence in our universe or even in our galaxy, and I might be so bold to say not even in our solar system when you consider Orca's (orcinus orca) role as an alien intellect different but not necessarily inferior to humans as intellect is both segmented and spiked. This will be born out over the next several thousand years and will have profound effect on how earth's stewardship is seen by all.

    Einstein worked because he took what was in his head and described it mathematically and sketched out it's empirical implications in concrete testable terms. Scientists could check both the math and the predictions. It wasn't merely an idea or metaphor. You can run an experiment and see whether the world is more like Einstein or more like Newton's view.

    The test of the belief is in reality. Until then it's just a game in your head. The games in your head are different to the games in my head, but until tested and validated against reality they are just games.

    You want us to believe you, show how your view stacks up against reality. Test and learn, test and learn, as all good marketeers should do - the idea is nothing if it doesn't make a sale.

    Your point is well taken, tinker. I come back for more thinking that this time the outcome will be different.

    I think it's because I want to believe that you're serious about your vision and that maybe we can help. And if it's important to you, then as a member of the MarketingProfs community, it should be important to me.

    I don't give up on clients just because we don't understand each other completely. I keep trying to understand so I can communicate more effectively and ultimately make a contribution.

    Separate point: What in my earlier post makes you think or feel like I'm attacking you? Is it something I said, or is it an insecurity of yours? Please let me know, because that certainly wasn't my intention. Why would I attack you? What would be the point?

    You are dead wrong! In marketing it IS ALWAYS the responsibility of the person sending the message that it be clear and understood by the recipient. Surely you understand that.

    It is clear that you don't know what you don't know. Perhaps if you would leave metaphors behind and discover what it is...

    Prospects come to me frequently with "I don't know what I want but I will know it when I see it."

    I spend some time and try to help, but my mission is to help them buy what they want, and if they don't know can anyone really help?

    They display anger when they can't vocalize their desire and blame me for their inability to communicate clearly. It is sad. Is that what you are asking of us? "How to handle people who communicate poorly?"

    Tell us precisely what is it you don't know? What exactly will make you happy?

    Ideas are just ideas until you test them. You haven't presented anything in any concrete form or even described anything more than a tag-line. There is no clarity or anything concrete in what you describe.

    We all have 'feeling'. It's part of the animal condition (read some neuroscience). Some feelings make us seem ecstatic. It doesn't make the feeling a solution to anything in reality. Show a problem that you'd solve and the detail of how it would be solved. Be specific. Be testable in your description. At the moment it's all just empty tag-lines with no content which is why you're having such a problem communicating anything worthwhile.

    I enjoy thinking about possibilities, stories, fictions, fantasies, dreams, desires, wishes, myths and fables as does everyone I know. Doesn't make them true though does it? Doesn't turn me into Einstein, Magic Johnson or Bill Gates just because I imagine the possibility. Reality is the vital test.

    Be specific. Show some relation to reality. What goes on in your head, or my head is not reality. Whether you imagine me to be stupid or smart is neither here nor there. You are not communicating with any level of clarity or credibility. This is a marketing forum and your marketing communication is not working.

    Tinker- This post is fascinating.

    Silence is a universal language, and much can be transpired through it.

    I understand. I see CLEARLY what you have said, and recomposed such view points by the filter of consciousness.

    So I get your point.

    A message spoken in such a language like yours, is not meant for all to receive. When such a seed is planted, in toxic soil- the concept can not grow, and in fact may contribute to the toxicity of the soil.

    We as beings, as creative forces, as spirits, as the co-authors of life, as... children, fathers, brothers, mothers -as the collective conscious to what we label ourselves as marketers CAN create a shift in society. The removal or self serving belief that results in a twisted, confinement of the driving force we all come to acknowledge in one way or another. The flaky layers of the ego that shield our ability to simply and purely resonate "truth"- can be pulled back by our sincere contributions...

    I hear you, I know your mission- it is ageless, timeless, and forever morphing.

    The problem is known... in what manner do you propose we create the solution?

    I don't know that it serves your particular path to respond to those critical or negative. Ignorance is a fact remember. Some truths are best left to be discovered by those meant to hear it. The sift of society begins within one's self. It permeates self and reaches out to others who are open. Free Will does not condone spoon feeding a concept down the ignorant thought. I wouldn't dare call it a waste of time, because I don't believe that much in life is WASTED, however-- it does not seem to serve your purpose.What a discourse of energy it must be to even address those who wish to mock or judge. I read your message 3 times, and all the responses. For those who have a willing and an understanding spirit- a reply would serve, but otherwise- it clouds up your message.

    AND AFTER ALL I've said, I still accept the possibility that I have misunderstood. AND hold that I alone, know nothing.
