New Website Development - Cms Software (asp.net)

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are getting ready to re-design our website from scratch. We have decided on ASP.net after much consideration. (No, I don't want to re-consider developing on php or Java.) But I do want to develop the site on a CMS platform. Looking for an off-the-shelf, ASP.net CMS ... Umbraco, Kentico, Sitefinity, Sitecore, Dotnetnuke, Ektron, Mojoportal, Rainbowportal ... ? Does anyone have any recommendations (yay or nay) on any of these solutions? Most appreciated.

We use DOTNETNUKE and it works great. Like all CMS software it has a few quirks but overall it is graet. Lots of dropin modules are available.

We used Apptheory (https://www.apptheory.com/) to put it together for us. It helps to have someone who creates modules and fully understands DOTNETNUKE as well.

Just to give you an idea here is a web site we developed using DNN. www.mc-2.com

    Dear Amy,

I would recommend you visit the site https://www.cmsmatrix.org/

It is a comparison site using which you can compare the features of all the CMSs you listed above and figure out which one suits your needs best.

The listed CMSs are also rated on various factors which is also something you can take into consideration while choosing one of them.

    Hope this helps
