Why just one word? Why "clever?" That is quite limiting, and it may not be in your best interest if you're trying to communicate both upscale and Caribbean.

Where is the restaurant? Who is your primary target audience?

How will you judge the names we suggest? Who determines what's clever and what's not?

I think it would be helpful to know a little bit about the community in which you are opening this restaurant. Is it a city or a town? General HHI in the surrounding area? Who is your anticipated consumer?

You want to make sure in your attempt to be concise with your name that you are also giving the customer some indication of what to expect or a reason to visit your establishment.

Either way your name/brand will take on its own essence based on what your performance is...tangible and intangible, very quickly.

Without knowing all of the particulars, I like the earlier suggestion of Aquableu...as it pertains to the Caribbean water. Although, I will caution you that "Blue" is a very overused word for restaurants. I also owned a restaurant that had "Blue" in the title. I found myself handcuffed by the color.

Do you have a famous dish on your menu that might be an option for your name?

I realize that "jerk" is a relatively popular spice in this cuisine but not very inviting to consumers...is there something else along those lines that could communicate what you are trying to accomplish?

I'm sure you are already aware of this but I was just researching caribbean cuisine and wanted to enclose 2 links...maybe it will spark some thoughts...

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montserrat

It seems to me that "Montserrat" may accomplish all of your goals. It is a british territory, in the caribbean, representative of the cuisine that you will be serving, has an upscale feel and is one word.

    Just a thought....
