Desperately Need Help With A Tag Line

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Hello all, My name is Devon L. and this is my first time on this site. I work during the day as an accountant in Big Four (which I hate) and during the night I'm doing my entrepreneur thing. I started a company "Enchanted Body & Soul". Currently I sell scented candles in glass jars and tins. My dream for this business is to branch out into bath and body products and to eventually become a major contender with companies like, Yankee Candle Co.,Bath and Body Works, The Body Shop, etc. I have a tremendous amount of desire and passion for my company and I travel a lot and have discovered many places around the globe some familiar to my family background where I could potentially have a LARGE market share.
I know this competition is aggressive but I have been reading numerous books on market strategy and marketing as a whole and I am prepared to hit the streets locality by locality if need be and have people sample my candles. Ok so enough about my company, I apologize as I am new I won't write so much next time. I'm trying to come up with a slogan or tagl-line and I'm drawing blanks. I have a friend who has a friend that works for an ad company but that friend won't help me create one but he will tell me what he thinks. (nice guy eh?) I came up with Enchanted Body & Soul "A little perfection in everything we do" and he said it didn't have "POP" and that I need that POP to woo customers away from Yankee or the other competitors. But I was also reading this book that stated that I should try to position myself against the market leader (in my case Yankee candle). Something like 7UP's "the Uncola". Can anyone please help me out. And I'm very sorry for the long message.

    I appreciate everyone's response:
Frank, I like your slogan..it really has me thinking about getting into the health food industry.

NuCoPro, I understand your argument about my name but I have not yet found one person (and I asked a lot) who dislikes my brand name. I have a really nice professionally designed logo that might change your mind. I understand the candle market is over-saturated, but I'm looking way beyond the candle market (body creams and lotions) and way beyond the U.S. in terms of sales. Like I said I travel a lot and I have found that there are many countries that are untapped by the giant chain companies (e.g.. some Caribbean islands & South America). Enchanted Scents is already trademarked and I wanted a name that could represent many products. Thanks for your great feedback.

Phil, thanks for seeing the potential in my name. I love the tag line, however...I don't want to limit myself to just candles. As mentioned before I really want to eventually expand into the bath and body product market. FYI I'm starting with candles because it's easier to do part time and it helps work out all the kinks that are commonplace in start ups.

I really appreciate all your help guys, there aren't too many sites like this.

    Devon
