What Is My Title? What Should I Do?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
So the boss-man has instructed me to create a list of responsibilities that I would like to do; basically create my own job description. I enjoy thinking of new ways to keep our clients engaged while keeping them happy of course and making their lives a bit easier. I don't just want to create good customers, but loyal ones as well. I also like planning events and creating new marketing strategies to keep us on top of our game. My boss would also like me to start and manage newsletters, blogs and twitter. Any suggestions on what to add to my job description? Also, since I'm new to the world of marketing, what area of marketing would this be considered....what is my title? Sorry if I sound too vague. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

    CEO (Chief Engagement Officer)

Personally I hate titles. I know they're necessary for business cards and things like that, but few people pay attention...in my experience

I always liked the title, "Business Development Manager" .

If I had this task, I would go to a resume site such as monster.com and find some resumes describing jobs that I liked. You can get good ideas for both titles and tasks this way. Good luck.
