Name For School Fundraising Committee

Need a name for our committee which is in charge of raising funds for the expansion & upgrade of our schools facilities. At the moment it is the Capital Campaign Committee which is too formal & boring. A good name describing the outcome/benefits of what we are doing for our children is needed.

    Dear Sarberpef,

    What's the name of your school?

    If your major donors are within your main clutch of ZIP codes, you could do a lot worse than to tell people which school they're giving money to.

    It's not really necessary to get all tricksy and weird with people when it comes to names for school funding. Make it as real as possible and engage people in their local community with a name they recognize and actually WANT to give to.

    Want a name? How about "For Our Children" XYZ School of This and That Capital Campaign 2009.

    I agree with Gary as well. Since you're probably marketing to your own community of participants (parents) as well as possible donors, you might think about something positive and engaging like

    "Building our Schools"
    or "Building for the Future"

    Bring something aspiration into it, since you're ultimately doing it for the kids and the community.

    Thanks Guys for your answers, but I was looking for 1 or 2 words....like one we have thought of is Legacy. So we can say we are the Legacy Team or we need to have a Legacy meeting, etc. Maybe thats what we will use as we cant think of anything else. Its a great name as that is what our team will be leaving behind. We are the American International School of Mozambique
