Arcade Plan

Posted by Anonymous on 220 Points
Hey,
I am currently working on a small business plan for a video arcade. The location of it is planned to be in a mall. How ever I am not too savy with doing finacial plans. If anyone has advise for calculating a 1yr plan that would be great. Mainly what to include and how to do figures?

Start ups are est at $10000-$50000. Game machines run about $2000-$20000 but most likely be rented. And space is leased. Guidence on financial plan is greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Chad

Start with getting counts for foot traffic for the mall itself.
Then, determine what % of that traffic is your target market.
Then, determine what % of the target market is likely to visit your arcade (you may wish to interview people, or go to a similar mall in the area to get some hard data).
Finally, you'll need to determine how much a person is likely to spend each visit to your arcade. Again, surveys of existing people at other arcades is likely to produce useful data.

That'll give you basic income data (you may wish to add some fixed # of monthly party rentals).

Your costs are lease, machines, mall fees overhead, advertising, repairs, electricity, salaries.

Don't forget to account for your competition: other arcades and home video game play. What will bring people to YOUR store?
