Songs That Make You Think "success"

Posted by alayne on 350 Points
I work for a 20-year old software company who has had tremendous success the last couple of years but sorry last two quarters. In preparation for our company meeting next month, I am coming up with two presentations played with music to motivate our team. Pictures of employees and some scenes from current events might play along with the song. The first one will be played to Van Halen's "Right Now" - the speech afterwards will be about each one of us having to seize the moment right now to improve our business. The other one I am looking for is a song that would make everyone think "success" and be proud of who we are & how far we've come. The only song so far I've thought of is "We are the Champions"... but I don't really like it. Do you have any suggestions for songs that can convey the feeling I am trying to get at?

    Dear Alayne,

    Try this page:

    https://www.emusic.com/album/Various-Artists-Songs-Of-Success-Vol-2-MP3-Dow...

BUT ... consider that, given the fact that recent court cases have pinpointed and heavily fined people for downloading music from the Internet, you might want to check whether you need any kind of performance permit for all this.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade here, but if you don't have this kind of permission, technically, you could be breaking the law.

    CYA and all that.

For royalty free music, try this: www.RoyaltyFreeMusicLibrary.com

    I hope this helps.

If they are not already too cliche, you might try:

    The theme from Rocky

    The theme from Star Wars

They evoke feelings of triumph/success, and you can make references to elements of either movie in your remarks without feeling like your audience will miss the connection.

    How about...

"Eye of the Tiger" (I think that's the Rocky theme).

"Mars", from the Planet Suite by Gustav Holst (that would be royalty free too, I would imagine).

"Dreams", by your good friends Van Halen

    "The Final Countdown" (Europe?)

"We can't be beaten" - Rose Tattoo

"The Holy Grail" - Hunters & Collectors

    "Fuel" - Metallica

Already too cliché: Avoid "Also sprach Zarathrusa", by Richard Strauss. Everyone has already used that to the point it's completely lost any marketing credibility.

    On a very alternative note

Burning bridges...theme song to "Kelly Hero's" by The Mike Curb Congregation...even if the words aren't that appropriate. You have to love the whistle and beat
